Hi Gurus,
Is there any way by which NARIC can be requested to re-evaluate the assesment . I would also like to know if there is any way you can sue the NARIC certificate of your classmate. By this i mean as in this board all of you are posting whe NARIC equivelence for your qualification but will it be useful as any person (from the same ocurse and college) need to get the qualification asseses by NARIC if the course is not part of UKBA Point calculator. Or Am i missing something/some trick by which these discussion/records of NARIC assesment could be used ?
Pleqase throw some light on it.
Best Regards
Anand

I had requested for a NARIC assessment for my Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management which I did from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar; Orissa , India.
Initially they sent me a letter saying that they will have to do further research on my certification.Later on they said that "Post Graduate Certificate in Business Managemnt" is equivalent to a "Certificate" program from UK

Hi All,
Thanks for all ur valuable suggestions on this thread.
I pursued my B Tech graduation from JNTU univeristy. As somebody already posted that the graduation from JNTU university is equivalent to UK graduation. So I no need check with NARIC about my education.
But i got the letter from university for medium of instruction says as "This is to certify that this University is offering all the courses of study in English medium of instruction only. This certificate is issued on the request of the individuals.".
This certificate doesn't have any of my details. They provides as generic format to everyone.
Could anyone please let me know whether this letter will accept by UK HO for approvals?
Even I requested in University to get it with my details on this letter, they told that, as their standard they provides the medium of instruction letter only in this format.
Thanks,
Narayana Rao.

I think we do not need this thread anymore. Because if you need to check the naric comparability of your qualification then go to UKBA points calculator, you will get to know what exactly you get against your qualification.
This thread is only helpful where UKBA website (points calculator) does not give any information on your degree.

if your course and university is listed in the UKBA website and you are getting points in PBS then there is no eed of NARIC certificate.

Dear Narayana Rao,
Dont worry about the name not being mentioned in the letter. Your Bachelor degree from JNTU is equivalent to UK Bachelor degree and you can claim 30 points for your bachelor degree, 10 points for your english language skills. So dont worry.
ALL The best for your VISA.
Thanks,
Calvin.

Clear that you haven't read
the policy guidance. Strongly advised, as suggested earlier.

I am a lilttle confused since when i went to BIA self assessment tool BCA from MCRP,BHopal is not listed there but in this database it is listed...do i still need to get a letter from NARIC about the degree ?? i dont understand how its gng to work..also in one forum i read about this guy who got his visa stamped and said tht he had attached a print out of BIA self assessment..so if the degree is not listed wat is one supposed to do..since i m right on the margin of 100 points..
Also should one be getting more than 100 to help increase chances to visa approval??
