Tier 1 Extension - Earnings outside UK can be considered

Post by aar_tier1 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 10:51 pm

I was in UK on Tier1 visa for some time and then went to another country with a contract with UK company. I donot need an ILR and looking to extend my visa every time if required.

If I am out of UK during my initial Tier1 Period so for extension of my Tier 1 Visa please let me know

- Do i need to come back to UK for extension
- For previous earning can i show earnings outside of UK or need to show only in UK
- Any max period of time i need to be in UK during my initial period of Tier1

1. Yes.
2. Should be able to.
3. Well, technically Tier 1 is for living and working in the UK!

Thanks for your reply! The scenario is if during the stay in UK if I get an offer to work outside UK for 1 year and my initial visa is expiring. So i can come back to UK and apply for Tier1 Visa extension based on the salary outside of UK.

I can do one more thing is go out of UK from a UK company and get paid in UK too.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Best if this is do-able. May also help for settlement if you change your mind (about settlement) in future.
