Passport service have lost my documents

Hello All,
I am an Indian and was applying for my first british passport and the supporting documents have been lost by courier service. Although I am following it up with them, I would like to know what should I be doing now?.

1. Since I am no more an Indian Citizen, I was wondering if this would have any issues on getting my OCI?.

2. Should I inform the indian embassy that the passport is lost, since it has my ILR stamp and valid?.

3. How to obtain a police report?.

Update: Received all the documents. However, it was delivered to me by my neighbour!!. The courier company that is used by the passport service has pushed it through the wrong letter box. This was supposed to be a secured delivery. Some security :twisted:
