You may qualify for settlement under long residence on/after 09-Sep-2011, and when the total absences in the 10 year (lawful stay) period fall below 180 days.

Correct me if I am wrong but for Long Residence, isn't the period spent outside the UK allowed to be 18 months or under over the 10 year period?

under 2.2.3: Events that Break Continous Residence
the applicant has spent a total of 18 months outside of the UK throughout the entire 10/14 years period.

My bad! Time to get sober ....

OP, apologies .. ignore my response above! Given the dates, you compete 10 years lawful stay in UK on 17-Feb-11 and eligible to apply for settlement under the long residence category.

10 years long residency - Do I qualify?

Thanks for the quick response.

Could you please also advise that what types of visas are eligible? The reason I am asking this question is because I entered as a visitor in February 2001 and left within 5 weeks although my visit visa was valid unit July 2001 (see my immigration history).

In September 2001, I obtained the fresh entry clearance as a student and then arrived on 09th September 2001.

Thanks and regards.
