Biometrics appointment necessary?

Post by indonesiav » Tue May 03, 2011 1:54 am

We want to make a party in the UK for Indonesians from around Europe, mostly married to EU citizens; however, some will travel alone.

As I understand it they travel with their EU spouse they need an EEA family card, which is slightly simpler to obtain. However, I'm concerned about the application process, as there are quite a few in Holland (strong connections to Indonesia), and I was wondering if they will still need to attend a processing centre (300km from Groningen to Dusseldorf) to get fingerprinted in order to complete the application, even as a family member of an EU citzen travelling with said EU citizen.

If this is the case I am sure that a large number of them will simply not want to come.
