Naturalisation, Eligibility

Post by bobby_kl » Tue May 17, 2011 9:18 pm

Hi

I am applying for naturalisation this week through NCS. I want to include my wife and child with me.

I completed my 5 year period including 1 year ILR. My wife didn't completed her 5 year period but stayed for 1 year under ILR. My child born in Sep 2008 in India and had ILR for 1 year.

I believe myself and my child are eligible to apply for British Citizenship. Is my wife eligible to apply? She came to UK in Sep 2006.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Bobby

You are you applying now? Why not wait until September 2011, after your wife has been in the UK for 5 years, and then all apply at the same time?

Surely better to wait just 4 month .... and a money saving if you do.

I could wait for 4 months but i already took NCS appointments and i will loose that money. Also in the mean time home office may introduce new rules or increase fees, we never knows! Thank you
