Paying fees for Canadian visa

Post by dalecon » Tue Jul 11, 2006 12:29 pm

Hi all

I'm looking at how to pay the fee for a canadian visa on the fees page http://www.canada.org.uk/visa-info/fees/e_fees.htm

In the methods of payment it says a bank draft or bank cheque

I've been to several banks (i live in the uk) and they tell me they don't do bank drafts, they do international drafts

Can anyone tell me if i get an intenational draft made payable to RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA for the correct number of Canadian dollars, will the canadian embassy in London accept it?

does anyone know wheher the Candian Embassy in London supply Embassy paying-in slips?

It's annoying there isn't a phone number to speak to someone about this, as the automated numbers are useless and if you send them an email it's several days to reply to it

thanks for any help

Most banks don't do this anymore. Barclays bank can order this for you and it will take 2 business days. You can also order this at any American Express outlet. I have recently purchased one from Barclays.

Good luck.
