Financial help for non-Europeans, is there such a thing?

Post by heyandy » Tue Jun 21, 2011 1:48 pm

Hi,

I have a specific question that I have been meaning to ask for quite some time.

I want to ask, do non-Europeans get some kind of financial help or benefit for moving out of their country of origin to Europe? Do they get help from the Government (of a specific country) for immigrating to their country?

Comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

In general no there is not financial help to move to Europe.

Some countries have some very specific programs in place to help people come from particular ethnic/historical/disadvantaged backgrounds. For instance, German speaking citizens of various USSR / Eastern European countries are encouraged to move to Germany and given some initial financial support when they arrive.
