Documents for Tier 1 - Dependent (out of country)

Post by Pranvayu » Wed Jun 29, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi all,

I'm preparing to file dependent visa for my family (from India) and wanted to confirm I've got correct documents and everything is in order. Please can you comment and provide suggestion.

1) Application form VAF10
2) Passport
3) My Tier 1 copy along with passport details
4) Marriage certificate
5) Children birth certificates
6) Bank statements for past 6 months (showing Rs.5,70,000) maintained (3 dependents)
7) Cover letter stating reason for Dependent application (Required ?)
8) Sponsorship letter (Required? )
9) I have a job offer from the UK but the final contract is remaining (I'm still in India) Would it help to submit the offer letter or is it not required?
10) Any thing else required?

Thanks in advance for your help.

make sure marriage certificate and birth certificate are translated and notarized if they aren't in ENGLISH. Other than that your docs look ok to me

how long after you been to the uk are you applying for them. you might have to add phone bills, marriage photos etc for subsisting relationship.

Thanks,

I've only visited the UK for holiday recently but am still based in India.

I'm been married for 10 years and living in India. Should I still show phone bills or anything else to prove relationship? I'm still getting salary credited to my bank account that I've used for maintenance proof.

so if I am right you are still in india while you file the application. show some joint account with your partners details in it and some other kind of a close relationship proof (possibilities are endless).

What I am trying to say is do not give them a chance to reject your dependent application for a minor detail.
