spouse of Irish citizen and naturaliztion

Hi guys

My friend got Irish citizen few days ago,he married to non eu for 2 years.
she lives here for the last 14 months,
the question is when can the wife apply for naturalization based on marriage to Irish citizen? 3 years since marriage or since the time he became Irish.
the wife has stamp 4.

3 yrs should have elapsed since your friend got Irish citizenship for her to apply as spouse of Irish citizen

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I have a question.

If you are an Irish citizen and you marry your non-EU spouse but they have no current permission to remain, can they apply for citizenship 3 years after the date of marriage or 3 years after their first stamp 4?

It's from the date of the stamp 4 put on the passport.
