Hello Guys

My ILR waiting is finally over!! I came back home last night and got the envelope from my neighbour, it was my passport with ILR stamped on 6th Oct. Document was posted from Liverpool so was probably processed there.

I don't really know how to express my joy and relieve, It was like a huge burden since the last 3months+. So I wish to make a toast to those still waiting and I will continue to use this platform to share my experience with those in need in the future. For those still waiting, I believe you will all soon get it. The homeoffice cum conservative govt have drastically cut budget and staff, the only thing I could possibly think regarding the delay. However I think they could make live a bit more easier though by providing opportunity to check for updates online like other countries do, even if at an additional cost. Genuine immigration application has suddenly turned a big battle!! What a shame!!!

So to everyone on this platform, I say thank you so much for all your tips and help, and very good luck to those still waiting.

Finally, the wait is over. It has arrived! The anxiety of not knowing if we can go away for christmas or if we will hv to wait for >6 months is finally over! Praise God!

Most of the people now are getting in approx 14-16 weeks - so I think you may need to wait 3-4 weeks more, unfortunately mine is now over 18 weeks & no news

My recorded delivery status never changed until I received it! Well, to be clear, I checked it on Thursday and the status was still "No information" or something along those lines. When I got the missed delivery card on Friday evening and checked royal mail again, the status was finally updated to "missed delivery". I collected it from the post office on Sat morning.

I faxed them on Wed noon. Parcel arrived Thurs So can't tell you if the faxing helps for real outstanding applications.

Finally, the wait is over. It has arrived! The anxiety of not knowing if we can go away for christmas or if we will hv to wait for >6 months is finally over! Praise God!

I've not received my visa yet, but I did have some good news today. I faxed the Liverpool office asking for my application to be expedited because I have to travel on 9 December to get married in South Africa. I included 16 pages of documentation to support my request, including travel arrangements, deposits paid, invoices and other payments relating to our wedding.

Unusually, a very helpful man from the Liverpool office actually called me at work today to tell me that my application has been approved and sent on to be stamped. He told me that I should receive my passport in about two weeks from when the application was completed. My timeline was as follows:

Application posted 12 August
Acknowledgement letter dated 17 August
Payment taken 17 August
Faxed Croydon to request Expedite 26 October
Special Delivery Letter sent to Croydon 01 November
Faxed Liverpool to request Expedite 04 November
Application Concluded (Liverpool) 07 November
Normal timing 2 weeks from conclusion to posted

Expected receipt 21 November, so about 14 weeks.

I'll let you know once it arrives by post, but I'm so thankful that I at least now know that it is on its way to me very soon.

I have applied on 07th July 2011, 16weeks passed, still no good symptom .
I need to travel to India on16thDec, I have booked the ticket. whereas this is my annual trip I don't have any justification to speed up the application except that I will loose all my annual leaves.

Applied for ILR SET(O) category after 5 years in workpermit
Application sent by post: 11th July 2011
Application recieved: 12th July 2011
Acknowledgement letter: 21st July 2011
No news since

Tried calling the helpline mid october, pressed option 3 for progress / status update, automated message not to contact until 6 months..

Took gamble on postal application to save the £400 for premium, but never thought it will take this long..misjudged the 95% applications dealt in 6 months on the UKBA processtimes,
it is more likely that 100% applications dealt only after 12weeks of minimum wait!!!!
Mine is nearly 16 weeks now!!! still no news..

Can anyone please post the fax number so as to to request to expediate the application, to give that a try as well...

Update:
I received an email yesterday from the settlement section that they were going to look over my application and supporting docs yesterday as I asked them to expedite my case due to specific reason. They hope to make a decision by early next week so here's hoping

Just submitted my message yesterday in this forum after nearly 17 weeks of waiting, guess what!!!
Recieved my passport with ILR stamped today along with my original supporting documents..
So people who have been waiting for around 16 weeks..your passport shouldnt be too long...
