Tier 2 work permit and foreign wife visa

Hi

I really appreciate any help you can give me. I currently hold a tier 2 general work permit and I'm a Mexican national. I am about to get married ans my bride to be is Mexican as well. we have the required founds on our respective accounts but my work permit sponsor has kindly offer to give us a letter for maintenance for her application. We are going to apply for her visa as an extension for my work permit.

My question is as follows, what would the letter from my sponsor that we are going to show on the embassy has to say?

I have been looking for some information but to be honest is a little bit tricky, I have been offered the template from a lawyer but he is asking for a £800, that I think is quite excessive for this matter as we want to save as much as we can (you know, weddings are never cheap).
