just 2 days short to complete 10 years

Post by shankarlk » Fri Jan 06, 2012 8:06 pm

Hi Guys, hope someone can advice me on this.

I entered UK 6th Jan 2004, since then I made in time applications and my last PSW visa expires 4th Jan 2014. 2 days short of completing my 10 years lawful residence. I have not broken the continues residence during this time.

My Questions..

1) Am I eligible to apply under 10 years long residence?
2) What if I send my application via post on 4th Jan 2014, would they still consider?
3) What should I do if I don't qualify under this ?

Thanks in advance.[/b]

1. If you entered the UK on 6th Jan 2004 then as u stated you complete your 10 years on the 6th Jan 2014.
2. But u can apply 28 days before u complete the 10 years period so u are ok to apply and do not need to worry for short of days.
3. You can apply in December 2013 before completing the 10 years.
4. Follow the link and read the guidance stating the 28 days rule.
