I was a commonwealth scholar at Southampton University (2010-2011). I have returned home and am now planning to purue PhD in UK for which I am applying for Tier 4 visa. As per Tier 4 entry requirements, " If your had financial sponsorship from a government or international scholarship agency for previous studies, and the sponsorship ended less than 12 months ago, you must also obtain and include a letter of consent from the former sponsor". This has been explicitly mentioned in Tier 4 visa extension form, but not in fresh Tier 4 application. Since it has been less than 12 months since my Commonwealth Sponsorship ended and I am applying for new Tier 4 visa from my home country, do I need to include a consent letter from my former sponsor in support of my Tier 4 application permitting me to pursue PhD in UK?
