Verification of HSMP documents

Hello friends,
I am new to this group. this is my first message ever. I applied for hsmp about 9 weeks back. In 4 weeks it was assigned to the case worker. I was told that it was sent for verification in the 5th week. and for the past 1 month i called them atleast 15 times and i was told all he times that its still under consideration. then very recently i rang my company and contacted a very close friend of mine in the HR department. He enquired about my verification and told me that the company was not contacted at all by the HSMP team. The HSMP customer service is not telling what king of verification is going on..............This is what is going on. Can any1 tell me by their experience how long such cases will take. can an application sent for verification, come back in 12 weeks time atleast?

I don't want to discourage u but mine one is the worst case. I had applied on 14th of june and my documents are sent for verification on 4th of July to my home country. I am still waiting for the decision. Every time I called Ho, they told me that my application is in verification stage.

Why you didnt tried urgent treatment form?

If My case delayed by more than 2 months, I will apply for urgent treatment saying some reason. I know that it will give negative result. But atleast I can get my documents back to re-apply..

to be frank if once gone for verification, getting +ve result chances are not even 10%, So dont wait for it, Better apply for urgent treatment and get it rejected. And reapply. May be you may get good caseworker next time

i found a companion in u in this hectic journey. dnt get depressed. after all its a visa....yessss just a visa....its just a permission to live in a country.

hari.......... i dnt encourage urgent treatment form. i heard tht if a caseworker expects some feedback from the verification team(caseworker never tries to verify any document) and in this stage he receives an urgent form, then he obviously rejects it.

Finally one more thing.....all the applications which take more than 7 weeks to get a result are the ones sent for verification. I have seen many people getting results in 10 weeks r 12 weeks with +results.

I would like to ask one thing.......out of the sucessfull applications, how many r the ones tht r obtained in less than 7 weeks? i mean out of 100 approvals, how many r those which were received in less than 7 weeks?

As far my knowledge and through all forums I am seeing,

If a case is rejected based on insufficient / wrong documents it will get rejected within 4 to 6 weeks

Once when all documents are clear and if one is gaining 65 points, they are again deciding to filter off few from that.

Actually HSMP scheme getting more applications than it is expected and many were getting the 65 points. So HSMP team is filtering some people from qualified people also. This is the actual fact going on background.

The case which they are deciding to pass, they are doing it without verification, it also wont take more than 6 weeks normally

They case which they have already decided to reject, they are sending for verification, it is delaying even upto 12 weeks or more. I have seen many many cases where it been rejected thereafter even without contacting the emloyer. I also have seen some cases where the local embassy had contacted the employer and also have got proper response and even then got rejected.

Mostly they are using this verification as a reason to reject, which they have already decided to filter off.Because since they got 65 points they have no other reason to reject. Only to get some reason they are delaying in the name of verification

To be frank until now in any forum I never seen a success with verification. This I am not saying to scare you. I am just saying what I have seen so far.If you have seen somebody with +ve result after verification, then that is really a new information to me.(let me know if somebody here got +ve result after verification)

If you get +ve result I am more happy, may be you are the first one I will see in that category then.


Mainly for that only I advised urgent treatment to re-apply again. I too know that it will get rejected on applying urgent-treatment. But you can reapply with more clarity

While reapplying again we can add some more documents to make the case more stronger and may be you can avoid this verification stage in next application

Anyway if you wish to wait for this verification, please wait.. I just told my view. Since you have already waited for past 6 months, nothing wrong to wait for few more months in your case..May be you may get +ve result also.. All the best

But if anybody's case gone for verification and is there for 2 or 3 months I will suggest them to apply for urgent treatment , get it rejected & re-apply with additional documents
