Tier 1 Entrepreneur - Initial Application for Dependent

Post by AKT » Wed Jan 16, 2013 1:38 pm

I'm currently on Tier 1 PSW visa and I'm waiting for a decision on Tier 1 entrepreneur visa application made in November 2012.

My wife is in UK - on Tier 2 ICT Long term visa at the minute.

Can someone please advise me if she can switch to Dependent visa (from home country) when my application is still in consideration?

If this is not possible, after I have received my entrepreneur visa, if I have to show maintenance funds in UK,
how much money do I need to show for 90 days?

(I have been in UK for more than a year)

Please advise...

-AKT

May I ask why you want your wife to switch to dependent?

If you have ILR plans, it could severely disadvantage you in terms of time/years requirement.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

-Many Thanks for your response.. The reason being the time she spent in UK will not be considered for ILR (First granted visa in Nov 2011).

At this time, There is no strategic advantage in your wife switching to your dependent before you get T1Ent visa. Numerous reasons, but not relevant for the main reason I have mentioned above.
