Hi was wondering if you could help me:
I'm currently in the UK on an ancestry visa ( i renewed it a month ago and got another 5 years), I met my girlfriend here as she was on a student visa a year and a half ago, she has had 2 student visas. In February she had to go home as she had problems at home. Her student visa she was on expired at the end of March. We have since got engaged. We have applied for a visit visa for marriage, I will be sponsoring her fully accomodation and financial included, I have got my bank statement with Â£6000 in the acct, problem is she never had a bank account at home as she had her account here. She will be opening one but it will have a deposit for Â£500 in it. She has copies of previous statements from here,

the question is even though I am sponsoring her fully will Â£500 be enough in her account, we have everything else photos, certificate of engagement ring, receipt for dress etc etc

What is not clear from your post is what happens after the marriage? Where in the world is it intended that you and your wife (as she will be) will live?

Firstly I'll clarify your first point, she will have a letter from her work granting her holidays, secondly it is our intention to live here, however, I will be returning to her country with her in November to get her put on my ancestry visa as a spouse. She has never overstayed on either of her student visas and has also been granted visas for both United Arab Emirates and Aus so she shows she has a good immigration record.

Also another question, I know the basis of this visa is that the requirements of a visit visa must be met, is the amount of money that the visitor has in thewir account relevant if they are being fully sponsored?

I'm confused...a visit visa or a fiance visa?? You can't get married on a visit visa...

You can't get married on a visit visa...

No, but you can on a wedding visitor visa!

mateo1982, it needs to be made very clear that your wife (as she will be) will leave the UK before the end of the wedding visitor visa. The covering evidence needs to emphasise that that is fully understood, and no reason at all why you cannot detail the whole plan, for the dependent ancestry visa to be applied for in the home country.
