Doncaster received my documents on Feb 2.
My ref. number is 0123**.

No results for present moment.

Any ideas about ref. numbers in the process?

Sheffield office received my application on:11th feb 2004. Not yet allocated to case worker (i'm an in-country applicant)

My application was lodged on the 9th Feb, ref no 1265*. No news as yet.

My partner lodged hers about 2 weeks after mine and yesterday she got her acceptance letter in the post! I guess her application looked more straight forward and so was processed quicker.

We are both over 28 and applied from NZ.

1. So her's would have been lodged on or around the week commencing 23 Feb.
2. Add another week for payment processing so actual review by caseworker likely started week commencing 1 March.
3. Assusming 1 week to post from here to NZ her case was decided by the week ending 19 March.

3 weeks processing time - even an incountry applicant would be hard pushed to achieve that

. Did she have a job offer? Just out of interest did you compare notes during form filling etc as I recall you asking about submitting further docs - perhaps this has held your processing for a while although a positive result when it comes will make up for the waiting nerves. Just goes to show that HSMP is about how your evidence matches the claimed points.

Just called HSMP team.

According to them average turn-around of backlogs are 10 to 12 weeks and mine is still in queue.

Hi Kayalami,

No she didn't have a job offer but her application was straight forward. She has a NZ Masters degree, earns over the freshold. She has only had 3 employers and she had good references from all three. She was missing a date off one of her references so the HSMP team wrote to her and she provide required evidence. Her letter of HSMP approval was then sent the same day after they received it. Mine on the other hand is more complex as I've had about 6 employers (with a number of different contract roles). Yes, I have sent through additional info which should prove 100% my claimed work exp. I hold a couple of NZ uni degrees and earn over the threshold also. Just playing the waiting game now with fingers crossed!

Seeing the responses and experience of HSMP timings , i guess you would be contacted around 1st June.

See if something happen good for you and they contact you before. Keep on telling forum about progress.

I have called HSMP team yesterday and they said it will take another 1 to 2 weeks for my case. ref no.122** and submitted on 3rd feb. So it seems the processing time now is apprx. 10 weeks

let us keep informed about our status here , so that we all aware of the situation.

Hi! everyone,

I just called HSMP regarding the progress of my application. They said that my application is with case worker now but no decision made yet, and i should hear the result withen two weeks. A letter shall be sent to me together with all documents i sent.

My case was registered on 3 Feb. with ref.no. of 122**.

Just wait, i think it's Feburary's turn now....

Hi all, My reference No. is 0124**. Credit card charged on 5th feb'04. Havent heard anything from HSMP till date.

I had mentioned in my covering letter that my original documents be sent to one UK address. When my friend in UK had called Home office a couple of days back they said that there was no such instruction for my refernce No.

Is it that the systems person at HSMP who answers the call have only limited info relating to the appln.? and my instructions in the covering letter would be taken care of...

I tried caling up HSMP to clarify but...............cant get thru the no.?

Some post mentioned that the decision letter is sent ONLY to the applicant.

Shall I send a fax restating that my original documents be sent to the UK address and decision letter to the India address.

Is there any better option? please suggest. also couldsomeone give me the Fax No.?

Hi Vivek,

If you try keep on calling (5 to 6 times), it will get thru.

fax. no is 01142743103.

The person, who handles the calls who is having the info fed into the system. They might not entered the details mentioned in covering letter (normally they won't).

Now i think it is the time for you people (early feb). Better to send a fax stating where to send originals and where to send the decision letter. I guess they will come back to office only on tuesday after easter holidays.

Dear friends

I have seen many post and tried to obtain info from sources and found that there seem to be difference in registration number and processing as follows

1.a. those applications which are simple and straight forward and which have job offer are processed fast .

1.b. those who have submitted bulk papers in attempt of making file strong or giving extra unnecessary evidence might end up delaying decision time .
2. Processing speed looks like that it depends from which country you are applying , eg if you apply from asia ( India , Pak etc from what i felt it is taking 4 months
3.if we process through consulatnts response looks like to be in 2 months

what i want to inform this forum is that if you have aplied from India , Pak etc then you cannot expect HSMP result normally before three and half months .

Mine reg no is 127*** and still i have been informed that it will take more 5 weeks for my application to be given to a case worker .

i think depending and hoping that this is extremly fast track as thought earlier is not true now.

hope others will respond to above hypothecation / opinion .

Hope that the fax machines are "On" on Monday....
