ILR based on the 10 years rule

Post by immigration1 » Thu May 31, 2007 7:34 pm

Reading the rule for long residence in the UK, am I interpreting this correctly: -

If someone leaves the UK for no more than 6 months at any given time within those 10 years, then continuity will NOT be broken PROVIDED the Applicant had existing leave when he left the UK. If after having left the UK their leave expires, then continuity will be broken even if they return to the UK and are given new leave. What if this happened on only one occasion?

Thanks
