Confused with B1 requirements

Post by Shadows » Sun Jan 12, 2014 12:09 pm

HI everyone,

I've been reading at UKBA website to find some information regarding the new requirements for Knowledge of Language and Life (B1) and I became more confused.

I have passed ESOL level 2, but now they no longer accept ESOL level 2.I recently passed my Life in the UK test, but I am still confused do I need to take an ESOL Level 3 exam or not.

My situation is: I got GCSEs in English, Math etc. I've attended college and got BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Computing and Systems Development (QCF). This is my highest level education.

http://register.ofqual.gov.uk/Qualifica ... 500_8253_X

Will these certificates be enough for Knowledge of Language and Life or do I need to still take an exam?

Also I left UK at 31/9/2012 for holiday and back into the UK at 23/4/2013, Is it ok for me to apply for citizen now? or I have to wait a bit longer?

Thank you very much in advance!
