Sponsor name changed after application-before visa decision

Post by pneve » Thu Feb 06, 2014 3:21 pm

Hi,

I have applied for the Tier-2 General visa and after my application submission the name of my company (sponsor) changed.

The company have notified the changes in the sponsor name to UKBA and now new name is reflecting on the register of sponsors list.

My question is, I have applied with a CoS having old name and a decision on my visa is yet to be made. Will this change in the name affect decision on my visa. Do I need to inform UKBA about the changes?

Thanks in advance.

shouldn't be a problem as even though in your application you have given the previous company name (as it was at the time of the application) the CoS No refers back to the sponsor and the name change will be picked up automatically. However, for the peace of your mind (and to avoid any mix-up) no harm writing a letter to the HO.
