First visit in first 3 months of 6 months multiple visa

I understand that if a person is granted a 6 month multiple entry visa (under General Visitor category), he can visit UK any number of times. Does the visa holder's first visit to the UK have to be within the first three months of being granted the visa?

No - but obviously the longer you wait - the more 'waste' there is.
