I was advised to wait as I have another month until it will be six months! I was also advised that I would not be told if the application was successful this will not be confirmed over the phone. Once it becomes the 6 month minimum period you need to contact the Home Office call centre and you will be given the contact details for your case worker.
Everyday seems to be an agonising wait! Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Could you please let me know what number you are calling.
Thx's

According to the Home Office and solicitor once it has been six months you need to phone the Home Office and they will give you an address to write to. This will be your case worker and they are bound to give you notification as to where you application is and other useful information. Get the address, write and keep on pestering them. Otherwise contact your MP and they will respond.Tahadeel wrote:Hi
I've submitted mine in 07/04/14 and still waiting!!!!
I've sent a complain email, few days after I received a phone call but nothing usefull. "Your application is in process and you need to wait more" but for how long?!!!! No answer.
I sent a letter to HO but no reply!
I've emailed Mr. MP twice but he has replied yet!
What else I can do?!
Yes, I applied on the 15 May and not had anything. Rather annoyed its taking this long. Still keep phoning but get the same answer, application on going status!! Your six months is nearly up....jitu_2677 wrote:Applied on 1st may 2014. still waiting . anybody else from may waiting like me

Wholehearted congratulations to you!
How did you manage to get it so quick? Did you:
a) do anything special? or
b) make any expedition request? or
c) provide any specific documents?
Please shed some lights.

This is ridiculous, I don't understand why they are so lazy and take this long to decide naturalisation applications. Surely most of the checks are done at the time of ILR so naturalisation shouls be straightforward. After doing same day ILR appointment I know if they wanted to they can decide an application in less than 90 minutes. Why it takes them 6 months or more by post for any sort of application, mind boggles. I guess you can just wait n watch and hope for the best.Tahadeel wrote:Hi

You have a point. I see that the average time from approval date to receiving the letter is approx 9 days. Why does this take so long to send back?Rahel1984 wrote:I'm spouse of a BC I'm waiting for the decision As it been 3.5 months. I have seen so many people applied after me got their approval already. So I don't think all the marriage applicants get the result quickly. I think it depends on ur luck completely. Cos the case worker pick random application rather than pickin them up in a order.nkim2222 wrote:Its seems like 10years naturalisation applications are very slow this year,, stil waiting patiently.
All this applications are based on the type of stay the person had.
I have noticed marriage applicants get the decisions very fast,
Then 5yrs workpermit get decisons second after marriage.
10 yrs Applicants seems are the last ones to get naturalisation...how unfair...![]()
I am with you on this one. I spoke with the Home Office again today and was told the same old 'still under review' story. I was also told that each application is treaded differently solely dependant on the different type ie marriage, tier, ancestral etc. I have three weeks before the 6 month period and have been here for over 12 years now.nkim2222 wrote:Its seems like 10years naturalisation applications are very slow this year,, stil waiting patiently.
