I am due for naturalisation In October 2014 but want to submit early by September 2014( got ILR in October, 2013) because I need the certificate if successful to process my sons students finance loan for his university admission in UK to start in September. He needs my naturalisation certificate as a proof of dependant on a British citizen. This is urgently required by the students finance loan body to grant him funds. Do you think I can get this sorted out before December 1st 2014. Please help somebody?.

I applied the same day as you 7 April (ack letter 17 April). Haven't received a decision yet. Rang them a few times, every time I get a slightly different answer (you should be getting an answer soon, under review, a small percentage takes more than 6 months, no decision made, etc.). I wouldn't read too much into it.

I think we just have to wait!

Looking at the April 14 timeline sub forum it seems April people either got a very quick answer or are having to wait for quite a while.

By the grace of God my wife received her approval today.

Funny enough we rang the Citizenship Helpline yesterday and the chap told us to wait till 26th Nov when the application completes its first 6 months.

Anyway the immigration journey is over. Thanks to all the mods and members for all the help and support throughout this years long journey. God bless you all.
