I have seen some people put like case holder receive file or still waiting to case holder to get file etc. how do you get this information?
Also somebody told me i can ask home office to return my file without canceling my application. Can somebody help me about it please.
I bought my flight ticket to visit my mum before my application for june and i want to go is there any way to find progress of my application an get my passport and ilr card back ? Thanks Hayati.

With regards to how we get the updates call 03001232253 then choose option 1, u need to give ref no from our acknowledgment letter

As for return of originals, there is a form you need to fill online and send for return of original document , there is an option there whether you want to withdraw your application or just return the docs, do not withdraw just ask for return. This should let home office carry on processing ur application but send your docs back. That why ppl prefer using NCS as they copy docs and send copies and give you back originals.

but the NCS is asking to provide a letter from Uni that degree was taught in english ??? whats this about...???

Yes you will need to demonstrate your Knowledge of English language (KOLL). But I don't think you should have any problem with this, since your degree was obtained in UK. In my own case, I simply went to the point calculator page on home office website and inserted my qualification. So far you are able to obtain 10 points for English language on the point calculator website, just print the page that indicates you have been awarded 10 points for English language and send it across to home office with your original certificate. Then you should be fine! Or simply contact UK Naric for KOLL and they will send you the document confirming your eligibility for a fee. This is the simplest and will give you peace of mind but it comes at a cost.

Finally brown envelope arrived, after a long wait of 5 months.

Apparently the delay was due my Case worker going off sick.


Also for KOLL requirements i had only submitted my Degree certificate and letter from university stating that my degree was taught in English.
I had received a letter from Home office requesting for NARIC letter. As NARIC letter was not required as per the home office website. I mentioned this clearly in a covering letter and also included a self assessment from the point based calculator. This was sufficient and i received approval based on this.
