On what route were you granted ILR? if on spouse visa, and you have leaved this country for at least 3 years without breaking law, then just apply now through your council nationality checking service. Your original document will be checked, photocopied and return back to you. Then you can travel. If you get your ILR through other route, you will have to wait at least a year to qualify but might be refused on the ground that you have spent more than 90 days outside UK in the previous year before your citizenship application.

At Feb 2015, for that fact that you have spent (more than 90 days in a year before application) outside the UK, will count against you.

I think they normally say when it is successful

It means exactly what it says. They haven't finished it yet.

I called UKBA last Thursday and got the same thing, then I called today and they said something had been posted two days ago. I applied on 11 December.

As you applied on 6 January the best advice anyone can give you is to sit tight, be patient and it will probably be sorted out within the next couple of weeks.
Thank rikken! I just wanted to hear that it was out of the pile so I hope incomplete means they are now doing the checks and all that x

Yes,

I called them at about 12-00 today and they said that a decision has been made, didnt let me know on the phone what it was. My heart is going to beat at double the rate till I see the brown envelope. I have been told that the letter (for both wife and me) were posted yesterday so hopefully may receive them tomorrow.

Praying.

i applied on 18 november and recived my acknowledgement letter on 16/01/2014 and i called them yesterday but they r saying still application not complete.[/quote]

Updates given by 0800 are mostly wrong. I got my approval letter same day when I called to inquire about and the gentlemen over there said that it was decided two days ago but in fact my app was approved two weeks ago.... so my advice will be, don't worry and just wait.

Eligibility criteria: HSMP 2 Years + Tier 1 (G) 3 Years + ILR 1 Year
Language criteria met: Expired IELTS used at the time of EC
Method of application: NCS
Date of application: 21/11/13
Payment method: CC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 22/11/13 (Royal Mail Tracking)
Date of acknowledgment: 15/01/14 (dated 14/01)
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 14/01/14
Date of Approval Letter received: 16/02/2014 (dated 07/02/2014)
Date of Ceremony: 06/03/2014

Thanks God, a long journey comes to an end (even still have to apply for PP and wait for it at least 4 weeks). During all the hard times, the best companion of my this road trip was, of course, this forum. A Big Thanks to all Gurus, Moderators and valuable members who shared their advices, experiences and thoughts.

Group Citizenship Ceremony was arranged at the end of March by my council but I changed it to a personal one but still it's not quite near :(. I have seen some members who managed to get a personal ceremony within a week's time which is quite fascinating ... I hate to wait..... Can you tell me how you booked so quickly? or it depends on the volume of ceremony request council is dealing with?

Good luck and wish you all the best for those who are still waiting.. Don't worry, all will be fine :-)
