We both have the same time line. I have contacted home office thrice and still the same standard response. 'A decision has not yet been made'.

Please keep me updated if your situation changes. :-)
Ok, will do. Lets hope we get good news soon!
I just had a job offer withdrawn because I need to have Dual nationality or British citizenship. They said the opportunity will still be kept open. The problem is that I do not know for how long they can keep it open and more frustrating, when home office will respond.
That's unfortunate. I guess they probably need you to travel in the EU. I have the same issue. I can't go for some contract work that sometimes requires me to work in the EU. I heard that you can ask the home office to hurry if there is a financial impact. But I am not going to try it, just in case it ends up lengthening and complicating the process.

Actually, thinking about it, I think they can only help by allowing you to apply earlier than the 1 yrs ILR required if there is a financial impact.

Hi All,

I am planning to contact my local MP to request UKBA to expedite the decision on my application.

I will really appreciate if you can share the mail template which I can use to contact my MP.

Thanks in advance

I also submitted on the 24th of October, received on the 25th of October by the UKBA. Nothing so far! Patience is a virtue in this instance.

No point sending emails as that only slows them down! Unless it's very important and ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, I wouldn't bother. The person who should be processing applications, will be taken off that duty to respond to emails.

I know it's frustrating (I check my account everyday), but we need to help them to help us! I work in a stupidly busy office. We have the exact same problems!

Thank you for your email.

You should receive an acknowledgment letter between 4-6 weeks after we received your application. During busy periods this may even take 7 weeks. If you have not received such a letter, please contact us for a duplicate acknowledgment letter.

I have checked our records and can confirm that no decision has yet been made on your application.

We aim to process 95% of applications within 6 months however there are a small percentage of applications that take longer than this to be resolved.

All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquiries, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out.

When the decision is made, or if we require further information from you, we will contact you in writing.

Please ensure you notify us promptly if you change your address. Your address can be updated here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... y-details/

If you require any documents back, these can be requested here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... documents/. Requesting documents will not negatively impact on the application.

Yours Sincerely,
