Any October applicant that has received acknowledgement or got the fees debited please respond.

My application got to the homeoffice on 10 Oct 2013 and I still haven't received anything nor my account has been debited.

I posted my application on 18/09, payment hasn't been taken yet. I called Home office and they said due to rule change from 28/10 there is a big back log of applications

Just noticed payment deduction from the account today, seems like the staff is working weekends to clear the backlog. It's not very often you are glad that your account is debited.

I received another email from same person at UKBA at 4.10pm asking when I submitted my application, I responded and within 5 min of sending the email, I received an email back saying my application was successful!!! Yaaaayyyy!!!

Does anyone know if the original passports (proof of ILR) sent along with the application for naturalisation will be returned soon or will it only be returned along with the naturalisation certificate.

No, Original documents including passports will be returned once the decision has been made, either in Approval or Refusal!

You should have applied via NCS (Nationality Checking Service) through you local council, if you wanted to keep your originals passports with you while your naturalisation application is in process with Home Office!!!

That is bit too optimistic. You will be lucky if your payment gets debited before 8/11/13.
