Naturalisation is the most least streefull of all the other UKBA experiences you will have. I was pleasantly surprised to see shortthe form was and how simple the document requirement was.

Ive applied through NCS on 24th AUG. Acknowledged on 4th SEP. Awaiting Approval.

I understand what you're saying but its the waiting thing i absolutely hate. Plus you just never know how long they will take. This is the first time I am making an application on my own, my mother normally does it as I was a minor but now I am an adult I have to do it myself. I jus hope our approvals are on its way

You can apply through NCS which is the Nationality Checking Service offered by local councils. They normally charge a fee which is different for different councils but they will take a photocopy of your passports etc and you can keep the original with you. Home Office has a right to ask for your originals if they wish.[/quote][quote]

I have sent all my documents on 13th Sept and after getting my Acknowledgement letter in the post I requested my passport to be sent back as I had to travel with work ( you do it online, all explained in the letter enclosed with tha acknl. letter). I got my passport back on 24th Sept special delivery. They might request it back if needed in the future and HO still have all my other documnets i.e old passport, P60's etc.. Hope that helps

anyone waiting for nearly 5 months I suggest to contact your MP to act on your behalf. I sent an email to my local MP a week before 5 months completed (of my app) a week later I receive a letter from him including a copy of the letter he sent to HO, stated that he sent a letter to HO on my behalf.
a week after his letter to HO (20 Sep) I received a letter from HO requeting my old passport for check. 30th sep I received an email that a decision have been made and I will have the letter shortly. Today I received my approval and my other documents. I belive the MP's letter to HO was a strong and official reminder to them that they acted after 5 months.
