ncs is a huge advantage to some people and they pick up on some silly errors it hasnt been too bad although u camt really say which one os quicker it's a matter of convenience & choice

Friends it seems like NCS is waste of money in terms of time taken for processing the application. The only benefit being that you get to keep your passport and other supporting original documents.

Superfast. My wife is a doctor and two references are both professors I think this might be helpful for consideration. My colleague submitted through Edinburgh NCS more than 2 months ago but still waiting.

One problem is UKBA didn't use my SD envelope! Wasting me £6+ and there's risk of losing the passport

Hi all,

I am very happy to let you know that I received an invitation letter for citizenship ceremony from the council today dated 23/08/2013. I haven't received an approval letter from UKBA yet so I was surprised when I opened the envelope. The council have already arranged a date for me to attend the citizenship ceremony which is 4th September. I am thinking of changing the ceremony date to a later day so my friends can come. It is too soon.

My timeline is as follows: (Turkish citizen)
Date of application (NCS Chelmsford): 11/07/2013
Date on the acknowledgement letter: 16/07/2013
Date of debit of fees: 22/07/2013 (paid by cheque)
Date of approval: Don't know as I didn't receive approval letter yet.

I am over the moon. I hope all of you guys receive your approvals soon.

Just an update on my timeline. I have received the approval letter from UKBA today and it is dated 21/08/2013. I also changed the ceremony date to September 11th.

I applied 17th june through NCS merton. I got the invitation letter on 24th aug with approval dated 17 july. I called council today and they haven't recieved the certificate yet so can't book the ceremony . do you know how long it will take for council to receive certificate?
