can someone please give me the home office contact number for update on British citizenship application. I applied for British Citizenshipe on 22/02/2013 and its already been six months.

Person we are on the same boat, I applied exactly on the same date 17/06/2013 from NCS Dudley Council. Received by UKBA 18-06-13 and Debt of fees 19-06-13 acknowledgement received 23rd June.

Lets see when we get our approval.

Hi all,

I am very happy to let you know that I received an invitation letter for citizenship ceremony from the council today dated 23/08/2013. I haven't received an approval letter from UKBA yet so I was surprised when I opened the envelope. The council have already arranged a date for me to attend the citizenship ceremony which is 4th September. I am thinking of changing the ceremony date to a later day so my friends can come. It is too soon.

My timeline is as follows: (Turkish citizen)
Date of application (NCS Chelmsford): 11/07/2013
Date on the acknowledgement letter: 16/07/2013
Date of debit of fees: 22/07/2013 (paid by cheque)
Date of approval: Don't know as I didn't receive approval letter yet.
Date of invitation later from the council: 24/08/2013 dated 23/08/2013
Date of citizenship ceremony: 04/09/2013

I am over the moon. I hope all of you guys receive your approvals soon.

Hello,

I think some people have been wondering whether the HO has been able to print letters lately? Well, some people in the August timeline have received their acknowledgement letters (dated in August) so hopefully this means letters are being printed off ok at the HO!

Send an email on this email address nationalityprogress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and ask them the progress of your application, also contact your local MP and ask him / her to ask home office about your applications status. Hope this helps.

I applied on 22/02/2013 for British naturalisation. I asked home office for return my passports on 26/06/2013 in return of documents form but nothing has come yet can anyone advise me wot to do now as its gone more then six months.

I am still waiting for invitation letter. And it is just about a month since I got approval letter. I am not sure whether IT issue has been fixed or ! But I dont think my certificate has arrived yet to local council as didnt heard anything. But for sure council received some certificate last Wednesday. I dont know whether it is 2013 or 1700....probably 1700 technology was faster than this.

Specifically the date as it appears on your approval letter. Especially is it before 25th July or on or after 25th July

If that date itself is 22/August (or even on or after 25th July), then it is happy days from now on, for all of us who are waiting
