Sorry but it seems to be 10 years long residency+1 years ilr or spouse of british citizen including long residency in combined is taking more time. I have no clue why but I have seen other people in this forum who qualified for British citizen under both categories they are not getting any result from HO. But compare to fit in both categories one who fit into one categories is more quicker to get result. So you shouldn't worry ;-) hope you will get yours anyday now.

Straight forward case of BC spouse with no niggles.

I emailed citizenship support and was surprised to receive a reply within hours. Which basically said that

"Your wife application has been received and waiting to be allocated to a case worker after necessary checks"

Not sure why it is taking that much of time have checks but it seems as there are some randomly selected cases who go through extended checks.
Which Email did you use, the same on the acknowl letter ?

Congratulations another fine example of my method working....folks just to let you know that for straight forward applications 10th of May applicants onwards next week should be a week of jubilation! Englishlife you turn is next week l hope you don't make the same mistake and pay for your passport using a cheque :)
There is no niggles in ours, yet again its probably with a lazy case worker...or it hasnt been allocated yet, just had a crb check at work few weeks ago, even if they are concluding searches, or checks...ill keep
hoping for next week
Definately you should have got yours by now because it looks like they are now working on mid- May applications onwards....but as l said before every 1 in 100 Straight forward applications slips through the net here are the possible reasons why it could be delayed

1. application fell behind the desk while chatty case worker was busy doing small talk
2. Case worker is lazy or the other end of spectrum(perfectionist) very meticulous has to check every single detail to the point.
3. falling in two categories somewhat makes it complicated although it should be even very straight forward. ie IRL long residence(i) and spouse of BC(ii) might mean an inexperienced/incompetent case worker may have to process the application using two criteria (i)+(ii) yet only one is need....list is inexhaustible many other reasons you can think of can be added below

am afraid once your application falls out of the calculated method time of receipt then its down to pure luck .. ..eg.may be when the cleaners come along they will pick it from under the desk, or your case worker may get a telling off for gossiping instead of processing applications then picks up speed etc only then you will see your approval ...worst bit is you cant even ask or raise any alarms before 6 months have elapsed this was designed to cover for their shortcomings....lets hope next week you should see yours ...good luck!
People applied after me most of them got the approval. As you have mentioned when a case fall under both categories, under spouse and standard 5 years categories it takes ages for them to decide, I can see teawithlemon also waiting and applied in may before me but money was taken from his account on 9th but mine was taken 15th. I know another friend of mine she applied in march but qualified under both categories and she still waiting. But she used NCS, so I dont think I am going to get a result within next week. Maybe it is forbidden to qualify under both categories, I lost hope as I dont see any sign to get it early. Probably ukba doesn't like people who qualified under both categories. They never replied my email. So I am starting to think 4 months to 6 months. As thats why not coming into forum regularly. I should have applied under standard category and should say wife is not British then I could hear by this time now but now long time I have to wait. Anyways its luck. All I hope now is atleast they dont lose my original documents. 4.5 months to complete 6 months so then probably they will reply my email. Thanks and congrass everyone who got their approval :-)
