hmmm... could this have delayed your application? did you write to the UKBA after you had the fine? It is not a conviction if you didn't get them in court!!

From what I can see, there was absolutely no reason for my application not yo have been processed in half the time it did. Oh well, it is the end results what matters after all

Enjoy your holidays bud!!

hi daphen-za,
u are right if you see most of the post it took more than 11 even 12 days to receive the approval letter, they should send these letters at least first class post but they are increasing fee every april.UK visa +nationality fees are very high as compared to all the EU.
Now nobody can not contact to nationality people directly.only with email.i appreciate the Spanish nationality system,at least you can check the progress of your application over the internet for every phase.

Application Timeline

Post by Daphne_ZA » Sat Mar 09, 2013 11:54 am

Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: 5yr Work Permit + 1yr ILR & Spouse (Joint Application)
Method of application: NCS Hammersmith on 29 Jan 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: Did not check this, but NCS said it would be 30 Jan 2013
Date of debit of fees: Payment taken 1 Feb (Friday), but cleared my account 4 Feb 2013 (Monday)
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: Letter dated 1 Feb 2013
Date of receipt of approval: Letter dated 26 Feb 2013 (post only arrived 8th March 2013!)
Date of Ceremony: 1 May 2013 @ Hounslow Register Office (this was the earliest date)

Other Updates:
I started stressing when I read these posts as it appeared as though the lead time for approval was about 3 or 4 weeks. Take in to consideration that they send post out with a second class stamp. It took 8 working days for the post to be delivered! You would think after paying a small fortune for the application, they could at least send it 1st class. As it turns out I am glad it arrived on a Friday, as there is no way I could have made it through a working day today. So happy!! Just the ceremony to go now..!

Also, if doing ceremony through Hounslow Register Office, you may want to read this post: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=128973

hi,
i wanted to apply for my son's naturalization as he born in UK
just wonder, some ppls use the National Checking Services . is it mandatory or we can by pass them. rather them paying fee which is good for nothing as i know my son qualify for his Nationalization on MN1 form under section 1(3).
Using NCS is not mandatory

kmore97 wrote: My thinking is also like yours - no point of taking their service - most of us will be able to do our application form correctly without NCS help. Even then, I took NCS service - the reason was, the verify all the original documents and return them to you and you can travel if there is any urgent need. This is very useful specially if UKBA take many many weeks to decide the case. Now given that, UKBA comeback with decision for simple cases in 2-3 weeks, there is no need to take NCS service if you have no travel plan or any other activity where you may need original docs in next 1 month.
Recently the processing times have come down quite a lot. But I am sure you will hear in 4 months time on this forum, some poor soul saying "guys, my application is straight forward but it's 4 months now and I haven't got my approval yet". There are quite a few straight forward applicants, on this forum, who have been waiting for more than 4 months. The point I am making is that use NCS unless you are sure that you won't need your passport for quite a few months.
thanks,
just a couple of quick questions.
I wanna apply for my UK born son for nationalization mn1 form under section 1(3) by post.
1). if i apply before 6/4/13 im still paying the old fees of £551 and do i have to pay the ceremony fee along with the application or later at the time of ceremony?
2). My marriage certificate is in URDU language, will the UKBA accept it or have to do translation? cos the detailed Birth certificate have the parents name on it. will they be sufficient to prove the parents relationship with the child.
regards

Applied for mine via NCS @ Hackney on 25 Jan and nothing yet. Seems many people that applied later are getting approvals. Frustrating! >:(
