hi,
i wanted to apply for my son's naturalization as he born in UK
just wonder, some ppls use the National Checking Services . is it mandatory or we can by pass them. rather them paying fee which is good for nothing as i know my son qualify for his Nationalization on MN1 form under section 1(3).
Recently the processing times have come down quite a lot. But I am sure you will hear in 4 months time on this forum, some poor soul saying "guys, my application is straight forward but it's 4 months now and I haven't got my approval yet". There are quite a few straight forward applicants, on this forum, who have been waiting for more than 4 months. The point I am making is that use NCS unless you are sure that you won't need your passport for quite a few months.kmore97 wrote: My thinking is also like yours - no point of taking their service - most of us will be able to do our application form correctly without NCS help. Even then, I took NCS service - the reason was, the verify all the original documents and return them to you and you can travel if there is any urgent need. This is very useful specially if UKBA take many many weeks to decide the case. Now given that, UKBA comeback with decision for simple cases in 2-3 weeks, there is no need to take NCS service if you have no travel plan or any other activity where you may need original docs in next 1 month.
May be but I sent a special delivery envelope but its not coming up in post office tracking systemkaka123 wrote:hi everyone,

Please, add me to the skydrive please

I dont think if thats the case as I applied 2 days before gautat by post and still waiting. It may be a case that joint applications are dealt with priority that solo but I purely depends on the case worker.Alish60 wrote:we have wasted money by using NCSgautat wrote:Got the approval today! Advice for anyone wanting to urgently book private ceremony at Leeds. Once you call them, the waiting time for someone to get back with appointment date is up to 8 working days. On the phone they have been the most unhelpful, but when I went in person they were friendly and gave an appointment which was 3 days later.emmigrator123 wrote:I received the approval today, yay! They sent it to the wrong council. Instead of sending it to my local council, they sent it to the one I applied through.emmigrator123 wrote:Eligibility criteria: WP(1yr) HSMP(2yr)+Tier1(3yrs) + ILR (1week) + BC spouse

I am one of those applicants from October yet to receive the approval. I am anxiously waiting as I am planning to move to the Netherlands soon and the BC will make things easier for me. I share others frustrations at UKBA's lack of response. Now, they don't even speak to you even if your application is more than 6 months old. They just have two different email addresses for less/more than 6 months.
