I got BC based on the marriage date but it did take 3 months and 2 days compare to some others within 6-8 weeks!

Short answer is yes you can apply based on your marriage date.

oh by the way I tried calling my council with the number given to book my ceremony it rings and rings to a voice mail my cousin told me to just call the council and complain that I have been calling since thursday last week and ive left messages no reply, i got put immediately to sum1 who apologised and booked my ceremony (lol I only started calling yesterday).. so for those of you with lewisham council ...thanx...Best of luck to every one..patience it would come through
