I did not receive an acknowledgement letter. I suspect it might have been lost when the shared maildrop at the block of flats where I live was emptied out (the timing seemed about right). This suspicion made me check the mail with paranoid frequency for the past few months, as the other letters seem to be necessary to complete the process.

The ceremony is to be in Hackney, even though I specified Islington on the form. I live in Hackney borough, but in the Brownswood area, so Islington town hall is much closer than Hackney town hall. I can't really complain though - I'm sure it's much worse for people living outside of the large cities.
