Just received the approval letter today, 06/09/2012. Ceremony letters will be posted soon. Took 160 days but we'd requested discretion for wife as she was out of the country for more than 90 days. The HO then asked for some paperwork so I guess that led to some delay. Anyway, here it is! Good luck to future and waiting applicants.

Called HO today 15/03/2012 (naughty) to ask why I had not received a receipt for the payment and they said they will send one if I really want one but the decision has now been made and in the post ..

** Called in February about not "receiving" the acknowledgement letter. But was sent another copy of the letter.
** sent a letter last week friday to the liverpool address and asked for an update and here we go with the approval". Maybe they act more on Letters thru the post than calls.Seems it bypasses the "rude" contact centre staff and goes directly to the casework team.

Anyway,great news. In as much as we all want approval quickly,we should all remember that its never a right but a massive priviledge. Other nations are worst. Wish everyone the best. Thanks for the advice over the years.
