Update: 15 Feb. 2023, nothing yet. 7 months and 3 days. Contacted further enquiries and received the response saying "...enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete.". Contacted my MP, she promptly wrote to Home Office and sent me their response, which was the same. Nothing left to do except wait.

Update: 27 March 2023, nothing yet. Over 8 months. Submitted another enquiry to FurtherEnquiries. Also made a detailed subject access requests (SAR).

Final Update: 3 Aug 2023 Short story, I am now a citizen. The SAR was not that informative, but it at least confirmed that my application had been assigned and was being reviewed. I made an additional request of further enquiries on April 20th, which did not yield any results. So on May 31st, I wrote again to my MP, made yet another request of further enquiries and, for the coup de grace, submitted a compliant to UKVI.

I never heard back from further enquiries, but on June 20 UKVI upheld my complaint and informed me that my application was approved. My MP replied shortly after confirming the same. Home Office sent the approval about 2-weeks later on July 3 and my ceremony was held a month later in Hackney.

In all, approval took 12 months almost to the day.
