After almost 3 weeks without any response from HMPO I decided to send them an email asking if everything was fine with my application. I was told that my application had been transferred to HMPO Durham. I received a response on 12/11, on 17/11 they approved my apllication. I was applying from overseas, Poland, and had no interview. Passport was sent yesterday, today morning I had it in my hands. I'd say it's a very efficient service, given I applied from Poland, and it took them around a month to process it. Very pleased.

UPDATE 30.11: Today I've received my supporting documents. They were sent in a separate envelope, using the same service as with my British passport delivery - DHL Express. Overall I'm very happy with the service, no doubt it's light-years better than HO's way of handling our naturalisation applications.

It took about two months to get the application approved. After 8 weeks I decided to call HMPO and ask them about the delay. Finally, it seems that I will finally get the passport! I am a little bit surprised it took this long!
