Slightly less straightforward situation in my case :

- Had separated from my EU partner before my application but already had my ILR/settled status

- Had overstayed my student visa for about 3months back in 2017, which would have normally prevented any citizenship application for a period of 10years (under previous Good Character and Lawful Residence requirements). The new guidance on good character amended that rule for applications made after 28 June 2022 (schedule 1 of Nationality and Borders Act 2022 (NABA 2022). https://www.crossborderlegal.co.uk/unde ... Took a solicitor just to be on the safe side but it ended up being a normal application process. Hopefully this can help those in similar situations.
