I thought it would be a straightforward application as I fulfil all the criteria to my knowledge with no complicated history, just living and working in UK... Yet over 6 months have passed and I am still waiting for a decision. I emailed nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk, NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk, Citizenship.Support@homeoffice.gov.uk and got only an automated response. Emailed my MP 10 days ago, again only got automated response so far. I guess all I can do is just wait...

It has been 1+ year now, status check (by myself + MP) will get a standard reply:
"I am sorry your application is taking longer than usual, to be processed. As you are aware, naturalisation is not an automatic process, and we have to make a number of enquiries to ensure that applicants can satisfy the statutory requirements. Some of these enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete."

I've stopped enquiring on my status as I am annoyed and clueless.

Applied previously Citizenship in 2019 which was refused due to breach in immigration in 2013 but applied again after the new 2022 good character guidelines which says if you have ILR then previous immigration history won’t be questioned.
