I was outside of the service area for DHL to deliver to my home, I elected to pick my passport up from their depot. My supporting documents were forwarded to StarTrack for delivery, they attempted delivery when I wasn't home, and I had to pick them up from my nearest post office. Delivery was definitely the worst part!
Still, 4 weeks including the Christmas/New Year period is pretty good for a first passport from overseas.

I called the HMPO advice line (they are a waste of time) several times but all they kept telling me was it is still being processed and the standard waiting time is 6 weeks. I then contacted HMPO on their HMPO twitter feed. They were very helpful and provided all the info below by contacting HMPO Glasgow on my behalf.
My application took so long because UKVI put the “wrong code” on my Naturalisation Certificate. HMPO Glasgow sent my Naturalisation Certificate to UKVI for them to correct it and return so they could issue my passport. UKVI, as expected took their time!! Good luck to everyone!!
