Documents send by Next day delivery royal mail service yesterday morning but tracking still showing Item on its way!

Is that normal HMPO recieved the documents late4 date?

I got 2 questions here, and really hope somebody can answer.

Can I simply make an appointment for interview even before I receive the invitation letter, like several have done as shown in this forum?

I sent out the applications through Check & Send last Friday, and today (only 4 working days) DX has sent back all supporting documents. But no sign of an invitation letter. I also received a text today saying "Your new passport should arrive within a few working days...". As it does not mention whose application it refers to (adults or the child), I guest perhaps it is for my child not myself. Have you heard of this type of text at all?

i did mine without letter, but the guy on the reception desk didnt like answer that

i told him , i didnt receive any letter..

no idea what happens yours,

my interview is over,

i arrived chelmsford office without invitation letter, the person on reception desk was

you needed the receive letter, i said , havent received anything apart from my documents,

he was like , awwwww, ok, anyway , we will interview you,

i am sure very soon , it is gonna be mandatory to wait for letter.

interview was very short for me, questions were just the same, but she asked many questions about

my work, eventhough which chemical i use in the machines etc.. she asked what brand do you use,

i started to explain she said , ok thats enough i understood everything..

one weird question, where i park our car, i said some where on the street, she asked in front of the house

or somewhere nearby, i said we cant park the car overnight in front of house because of double yellow lines,

she said owww, ok...

she asked about the if we have high speed internet and which company, i said ''virgin '' and its really

fast, she said i am thinking to change mine , i said virgin is quite good..

she asked why i failed my driving exam, what were the faults ,

strange really.....

anyway, its finished and now , relaxing time. and waiting for the sms.......

Something to check does every one has to receive SMS first and then receive passport or they can send passport without SMS , asking Bcoz I Applied passport Online and after passport interview its online status says Dispatched, now does it means they have send my passport ? as I have not receive any SMS yet.

Never received the interview letter but booked my interview by ringing interview booking line ( 0300 222 1000) 2 days after documents received by HMPO.

Interview lasted 15-20 mins and was general questions about my work, family life, no of credit cards, bank accounts ect and was more to check that I am real rather then some one else. I got few answers wrong like my mother's year of birth no of credit card I hold but still got the confirmation text message very next day that my passport is dispatched .

Good luck to everyone else and this forum has been a great help in my immigration journey .

You don't need anything except the registration number they gave you when you booked your interview. They didn't even check that with me, just confirmed my name with the appointment schedule.

I have a question i have my British citizenship ceremony tomorrow.Due to some emergency i have to travel Pakistan and i won't apply my british passport until i come back.I know that i can travel to pakistan on pakistani passport,but when i come back how i will prove i have british visa as i read that ILR card
become invalid after your British citizenship ceremony.

I would suggest carrying your naturalisation certificate. That should be sufficient.

This harrowing, expensive and ridiculously drawn out experience is finally over for me, eight months to the day I applied for Naturalization on April 15.

If you have used the Post Office Check & Send service then the barcode will be a 9 digit number.

i called the passport office today,

they asked reference number, then i gave them number but they said its only 9 digits , must be 10 digit

number, post office clerk wrote it only 9 digits and missed 1 number, so now i cant know my reference number

Hey folks, got my text today to say my passport was on the way (interview was Saturday). I'm just wondering if I have to sign for it when it arrives? I didn't have to sign for the returned documents, so I'm curious.
