In the letter to referee they ask for the confirmation that he has signed your application and that the application was complete when he signed it. I don't know weather they always confirm or not but for my naturalisation application my referees were never contacted. Best of luck

Please can you share with us what does the referee letter asks? and does IPS send letters to referee for all applications or select randomly?

Still waiting for any response but today my referee received a letter from IPS Glassgow instead of Liverpool where I sent my application. So probably Liverpool office has forwarded my application to Glassgow office for processing. The people who applied in Glassgow IPS have been getting their passports in a weeks time as we learned from posts. And I presume that Liverpool must be very busy and now they have forwarded my application to Glassgow after more than four weeks.Now I hope to receive a letter for interview soon. So with out mentioning the IPS dealing with your application will not give any idea for the time line. Just for the information of the forum members.

received resident card in August 2010 after appeals.

applied for permanent resident card in January 2014

got my approval letter end of july.

ceremony on the 18 of August 2015

just checked on website it says Monday to Friday: 7.45am - 9.00pm and Saturday: 9.15am - 3.35pm. for IPS near London Victoria. Not sure these are just office or interview timings..

Just got my interview letter but no documents returned. Do they send them out separately? The guy on the phone told me they only send them after your passport has been printed but it looks like its not the case here

Don't worry Anais2015, I was just asked to sign on paper too at my interview.

Sorry for the late reply. I think it depends on if you paid for the secured delivery for the passport. I didn't so I didn't recieve the text most people did. I waited 3 weeks after I applied and used the online tracker form to find out when I'd be getting the passport. They sent a reply saying it had been printed 2 days after my interview and to allow 4-5 working days delivery, I should have had the passport on the 27th but as I mentioned earlier, the courier somehow delivered it to the wrong address, delivering it to the next street up.

I wouldn't worry about this happening to you though, I was told it had never really happened before so I guess I was just that unlucky. Most people recieve their passport 3 days after its printed. Good luck.
