Hi there
I applied for my first adult passport today and I used check and send service from local post office. As I took my documents to post office such as two pics and naturalisation certificate along with my current passport but in the post office the (stupid) lady at the counter asked me for my bio metric card as well and I said to her its not mention in guide book so I don't think I need to send it because if I send it I,ll not have any proof of I'd with me. Very rudely she replied I can not advise u on that but have to send your bio metric card with your passport application form . Alright then if have to then I,ll send it but now I saw on this forum I was not meant to. I doubt about my application now because she did,nt know what she was doing i guess So I'm worried will i get my card back soon or what any one can advise me on that please

Thanks tomboy, I emailed them with my barcode from recepit before and they said they didnt have any of my paperwork and I emailed again an hour ago and they said they received it.. phew.

Thanks tomboy, I emailed them with my barcode from recepit before and they said they didnt have any of my paperwork and I emailed again an hour ago and they said they received it.. phew.

still no thing, may be I have to expect a long time to get my Passport.

I do not know what to say, but it's really disgusting as no documents have been returned or an interview letter has received.
as I have seen here the most of applicants get their interview letter within two weeks.

I did a progress inquiries online yesterday, and received an Email from them informed me that they sent the interview letter which I received it today, and booked the appointment for tomorrow.
for my child I received SMS today which informed me that I should receive my son's passport in next few working days.

Received a text message today saying my passport should arrive within few working days. Interviewer told me I should receive it probably by Tuesday. I'm so surprised how quick the process has been for me. I think it's because Belfast Passport Office is not busy.

I know it's was very quick and I'm still in shock but happy of course lol. Yeah I've had my interview last Saturday and it was in the city centre. There is only 2 passport office in NI and there is only one in Belfast. The other one is in Coleraine. I'm sure you will receive the invitation letter quite soon. Belfast office not busy at all, that's what the lady in reception told me anyway. I got my supporting documents returned today and hoping the receive my passport tomorrow. I will update here anyway

Date of Passport Appointments: 19/08/2015 - note, closest office (still 1.5 hours away) the next appointment was 9/9/15 - so we opted to travel an extra hour and had the choice of appointments beginning from next business day.
Date of SMSs Received: 20/8/15, same time for each one (within seconds)
Date of Passports Receipt: received mine 21/8/15. Spouse: 24/8/15
We sent our documents in one envelope. Each received an interview letter. Each received a letter with supporting documents returned, via special delivery but no signature was required for delivery through mail slot.
FYI: Person on phone told me that Liverpool is not currently offering any interview appointments.

Two - ish weeks beginning to end, fantastic service. Well pleased. But have to say, spouse + me both thought the interview was a bit of a grilling.

Spouse received his passport, like mine, via DX delivery but a few days later (2.5 weeks total turn around time). Only time throughout the entire process we have had a difference in delivery dates. But when he called today to find out status, they told him right away that his passport was out for delivery today and he should receive before 6pm, which he did.

20 April: Received letter from HM PO blocking issuance of a passport due to 'Dual Identity' issue.

Hi, I went to crawley for an interview at the end. They've only asked me to sign in paper and not in the epad. I am just worried if she forgot to ask me to sign on the epad and have to go again for interview.

Can someone help please, I have had my passport interview today and at the end I was only asked to sign on a paper but not on the epad so they have not taken my electronic signature.

Why did it take more than a month since the interview to receive the passport?

The courier delivered it to the wrong address originally.
