So I feel much better now I have received my documents back, I presume this means that they have processed my application and looking at posts on here, it suggests my interview letter should come within the next couple of days. I rang them up today to try and book an interview but they told my I had to wait for my letter to come first. Will the rest of the process be relatively quick now I have received my documents? Thanks.

I have ILR, one child born before ILR and hold Neutralization certificate.Other child born after ILR. Can I apply for children passport on the bases of my ILR ? what documents original or copy are required to apply for both children? Thx

for the child with naturalisation certificate u need to post his cerificate of birth and naturalisation.for the 2nd child born after ur ilr granted just u need to send his/her birth certificate and ur passport if the ilr stamped in it or both ur passport and the proof of ur ilr if its not stamped in ur passport...the 2nd child automatically is citizen because in the time of his birth u had ur ilr in uk...just add the proof of ur ilr to both application...good luck

Hi I sent my first adult passport off by post office check on Monday (19.07) however the holiday starts on 12.08. Am I likely to receive my passport by this time? I haven't received a SMS to say they received it, does everyone receive a text? I am available to go for an interview at any time but how long does it take for the letter to come through? I haven't booked the flights yet but I do really want to go. Should I do anything or wait? Please help, I'm getting worried thanks.

Call them. I received my documents on Monday and called them today and they told me I am up for the interview process and they gave me a number to call and I have no arranged my interview for Saturday.

Hello All
Here I am sharing my experience of my Interview attended for chid's first British Passport
from India.

Application type: Oversease first minor British Passport
Application applied through : VFS India
Application date : 22 January 2015
Appication received by HMPO : 25 January 2015
Fees Deducted : 28 January 2015
After 5 months of process they called for interview in British High commission.
Call for Interview : 16 July 2015 (British Deputy High Commission, chennai)

Questions were asked as follows:

We enter the British Deputy High commission, they ask for ID for all of them who attending the interview.
But inside, It is true that any one parent allowed to attend interview along with child.
mosty mother with child shoud attend the interview, "they say". even though mother is indian citizen and father
british citizen.

I had been called at one of the cabin where One Lady welcomed me for today's Interview and
introduced her self "She work for British High Commission, Delhi" and said she will
be asking quick general questions regarding the child's application.
* I have seen the child personally and I can leave child with mother and come back for interview.
* Can I see your ID (British Passport) and Child's Birth Certificate?
* Do I know her personaly? (ofcourse no)
* What is my Name ?
* What is my DOB ?
* what is my place of birth?
* who filled & signed the appication ?
* What is my spouse name?
* what is my spouse DOB ?

Finally Lady informed me "that's the end of the interview, today she send all notes to Liverpool and finally they
consider the application and get back to me for British passport via VFS in 3- 4 weeks time.

We came out from British Deputy High Commission, chennai.
I am expecting British Passport for child from Liverpool in next 3-4 weeks. Please pray for us, things go right.

Hi All,

I'm British Citizen my baby was born in London last month

I applied for her passport via check and send

I supplied her Full UK Birth Certificate and my British Passport details on the application

The post office has accepted application but mentioned marriage certificate is mandatory for new baby passport

I read that for any babies born on or after July 2006 there is no need for marriage certificate I am totally confused

I was told HM Passport can very well write back to me asking for my marriage certificate

Can any body please clarify?
