Hi all,

Can a referee who helped with Form AN also act as the countersignatory for passport application; or do we have to find someone else?

1) How much does the passport cost at the moment?

2) Are the applicants required to send their current passports off when they apply? What if Check & Send service at the Post Office is used?

Passport fee is 72.50 pounds for standard size. Yes u have to send ur previous passport with ur application. Even though u use check and send service.

The guidance says the photos must be taken within the last month, meaning we can't use the same photos that were sent to UKVI with the Form AN right?

I think we should use the recent picture anyway. I took mine last week as im gona apply 16th next month after my citizenship ceremony. It doesn't cost much either

You can decide when and where you want to be interviewed at your convenience assuming they have that slot free.

UPDATE: Passport received 25/03/14. Should have been a week earlier but I was away. I guess the journey is officially over! It has been extremely emotional and I am thankful to the moderators and fellow members for your valuable input throughout the journey. Much better than I had anticipated, having read all the horror stories from last year and from other overseas applicants. There were a couple of wobbles while they clarified my own "British other than by descent" status, but the actual examiner, with whom I was in email contact, proved reasonably flexible when it came to allowing me to scan and submit further things by email and was willing to correspond directly with my father on the issue of his Crown Service.

I just cannot believe it. I applied on 26/02/2015 and still have no passport. They ask NEW pictures AGAIN. It takes longer to get the passport than the approval...
