take your citizenship certificate, your all uncancelled passports, 2 photos (1 with certified by countersignatory)
filled passport app form with counter sign from a prof person who knows for 2 years

And how long does it take ?

take up to 6 weeks

They called her mobile first but she was on her way to work so she asked that they call her on work number (no signal where she works so easier to call on work number). They needed to verify her passport number as she entered it incorrectly on the form. They verified it over the phone.

Or do they call the counter signatory's mobile number? In my case I have given counter signatory's mobile number for communication in the form.

Next day a manager called me and I explained that they sent a letter to counter signatory but because it's her work address (NHS hospital) she didn't receive it. They then called her work number to confirm the details over the phone and then that was it.

The biggest wait for me was the interview - not sure if this was everyone's experience, but I received the letter on Thursday and phoned on the Friday to book the appointment and the earliest appointment they had at London Victoria was the following Thursday! Still only took 15 days from application to receipt of passport though.

Update on my case . Just received letter for appointment today and booked one for next week . But havent received my originals nor an sms. Date of app on 8/12 letter to book interview dated 11/12 received today. Will write in right format next time (am using mobile ) .

Hi all my timeline so far is:
First adult passport, naturalised. Check and send po. Sent on 8/12/14 so far not heard anything. Tried to call helpline said nothing on system till it reachef 7 days no sms and PO wont be able to confirm receipt of application. So i will call back on monday and update u
