This is the end of the journey for me after 7 years of uncertainty and trepidation. As ever my many many thanks to the guys here who offer practical help and sound advice free of charge.

Not only in returning documents, but the processing of applications appears to slowed down. I applied about two weeks ago and still waiting for an interview letter, I hope. I guess the pressure is accumulating on the passport department again. cannot wait to finish the whole process!

Thanks mate, yes I have notice some ppl got the document back even before the interview while some get with the passport. I am expecting that my new passport and documents will arrive tomorrow or sometime this week. Passport in 2 and half week still not a bad timelines , comparing I wait7 months for my ILR and 3 months for naturalization.

According to passport application guideline:
2 photos
Any Uncancelled passports
Naturalization Certificate

If you are going to use Check and Send, they will also ask you for birth certificate, marriage certificate, your passport and BRP even though it is not required as per guideline.

you can contact 0300 123 1971. This is the number for passport priority handling team number. They are quite good and very helpful... my son's application was stuck for almost 2 months.. contacted them and they processed the application within 3 days...

u can check with them, what's the progress on your application..

U guys are lucky My application was sent on the 29/05 till now I have been to 2 Interviewed but no passport still. When I call them still they tell me they are busy, I have tried M.P, Complain department sent 10000 Emails, call million of times still nothing.

I am a recently naturalised British Citizen. I applied for my first British passport through Check and Send on 5th Nov (Wed). I am yet to receive the sms. I can see that someone else applied on the same day has received the sms.

I am going to attend the citizenship ceremony soon and after 20 days ceremony i have to travel to abroad for a month. I know i can travel with my ILR because time is short and i will not get my British passport in 20 days.

My question is it possible i apply my British passport but arrange interview date after one month when i will be back to UK. Is it possible to arrange like this?

When i will go abroad then no one will be at my home to receive new passport. Any help will be appreciated.

Remember though that if you apply for British passport you need to send in your other passports with your application.

Shouldn't be an issue

When i will go abroad then no one will be at my home to receive new passport.
Either have someone sign it for you or have to re-schedule it when it's missed - not too big a deal.
