Hi everyone,

I sent my application on the 28th Oct via Check&Send but still didn't receive any text message from IPS confirming the receipt.
I called IPS on the 1st Nov to check if they've received my application and they confirmed that my application got delivered on 31st October.

Does IPS always send a text on the receipt of your passport application? Also I am still waiting for an interview letter.

I also sent my application on 1st Nov via Check & Send but still didn't receive any text message from IPS confirming the receipt. When I enquired yesterday, they told me yes they have received the application on 4th. I applied for myself and my son but text for none.

SMS delivery depends on your mobile network. Some time text message not delivered. As long as IPS confirmed that they received your application , you should not be worried.

Do you guys know how long it usually takes to get your passport after you get the "Passport Printing" SMS? I got the SMS last Thursday but still no sign of it....Might wait till tomorrow and maybe chase them?

Update: Called the IPS and managed to get the tracking # for the DX courier (chose secure delivery) - apparently they tried to deliver in last Friday, obviously wasn't home but they also didn't leave a "we missed you" card! Grrr! Anyways, using the tracking number re-arranged the delivery to my work address for the coming Friday....hopefully it will work this time.

I never really had any good experiences with DX so far in the UK, missed deliveries, "claimed" deliveries, poor customer service etc.

If any one has used secure delivery of passport ? Can you tel me if they send passport with Royal mail or any other courier ?

You can't choose how they deliver your passport, only your documents. Sometimes it'll come by courier and other times Royal Mail. There is no tracking number and you don't get any notification it's out for delivery. The only notification is an SMS stating your passport is being printed. Your passport will arrive soon after that.

Last time I used it, they send both docs and passport by dx courier.
Which btw is not as secure as they make it out to be. They just dropped both passport and documents through the letterbox.

Letter (dated 16/10/2014 and received 21/10/2014) requesting Nationality certificate be dated. Council who conducted Naturalisation ceremony had forgot to date certificate - and I didn't spot this either. After receiving the letter, I took my certificate in to the council and they dated it. I sent the dated certificate back to the Passport office on the 22/10/2014

just wondering to find out if someone immigrated to Canada after applying for British citizenship through AN form, because Canada immigration landing deadline is passing.. then how they can proceed for Naturalisation and further applying for British passport.
